Why Wegovy pill prices vary so much between UK pharmacies

Search for the Wegovy pill and you will see very different headline prices, sometimes on the same day. That usually comes down to dose, introductory offers and what is actually included rather than one page being honest and another being fake.

The dose you are looking at matters most

The single biggest reason prices look different is that pages quote different doses. The Wegovy pill has four strengths: 1.5mg, 4mg, 9mg and 25mg, and the price rises at each step. A page showing the lowest starting price is usually quoting the 1.5mg starting dose. The 25mg maintenance dose typically costs far more.

Introductory and subscription pricing

Several providers use a lower first-month or subscription-only headline alongside their standard price. Those offers are real, but they are not the ongoing monthly cost. A page can look much cheaper than a rival simply because it is leading with the narrowest possible offer.

What is and is not included

Some prices cover the medicine only. Others bundle in delivery, consultation fees or follow-up checks. A lower number is not automatically a better deal if another part of the order is added later.

Timing matters too

The higher 9mg and 25mg strengths are due from 20 July 2026, after the two starting strengths. Until then, some providers will publish lower-dose prices without a complete ladder. Missing higher-dose prices do not automatically mean a provider is hiding anything.
