25mg is the highest strength in the UK Wegovy pill dose ladder. Its public availability status changes on the planned 20 July 2026 launch date. It is not a separate consumer product to select without a clinician’s assessment.
Where 25mg fits in the approved schedule
The UK Wegovy tablet leaflet lists 1.5mg, 4mg, 9mg and 25mg as consecutive stages. It places 25mg after the lower strengths. That is a description of the licensed dose ladder, not a recommendation to progress to a particular strength or to change treatment without clinical advice.
It is sensible to compare a 25mg published price only once the strength is live and a provider has a standard price row. Launch offers, pre-order messaging and package prices should remain separate from the ordinary monthly comparison.
EU regulatory approval
The European Commission has authorised Novo Nordisk’s oral semaglutide tablet for adults with obesity, or who are overweight with a related health condition, making it the first oral GLP-1 medicine approved for weight management in the EU. The UK authorised the same tablet earlier, so this EU decision does not change the UK licence or the 25mg dose ladder described above. It is a separate regulatory step in a different market, referenced here for context only.
UK availability status
Current provider listings are available to compare. 25mg has 30 current standard-price rows in the price feed. Stock, eligibility and final terms can still vary, so check the provider page before ordering.
Check the current provider comparison once a live 25mg standard-price row is published.

Administration and medicines advice
Wegovy tablets have specific instructions on fasting, water, food and other oral medicines. The patient leaflet also explains the product schedule, missed doses and safety warnings. Use the leaflet supplied with the medicine and contact the prescriber or pharmacist if the routine is difficult to follow or clashes with other prescribed medicines.
Read the official Wegovy tablets patient information leaflet.
When to seek advice
Ask the prescribing service, pharmacist or GP about side effects that are difficult to manage or do not settle. Urgent medical advice is needed for severe, persistent abdominal pain, symptoms of a serious allergic reaction, or sudden or worsening eyesight.
